Horse Class Description
Clover Leaf Barrels: This is a timed event. Rider will cross timer line, make a 360 degree turn around the first barrel, go across arena, make a 360 degree turn around the second barrel, then make a 360 degree turn around the third barrel and return between first and second barrels, crossing timer line. This is known as a cloverleaf barrel pattern. Rider may run either right or left pattern.
Flag Race: Three barrels will be set up in a line, the pattern will be run like the Speed Barrels. Once contestant crosses starting line, they will pick up a flag at Barrel 1, carry flag through pattern to barrel 3, where they will exchange flag for a new flag, carry flag through pattern back to barrel 1, drop flag in bucket and cross finish line. Any flag dropped and not left in the bucket will result in a no time.
Panty Hose Race: Two riders will hold a pair of panty hose and compete a Cloverleaf barrel pattern. If at any time during the pattern one or both riders drops there end of the panty hose, the team will be disqualified. Off course will result in a no time.
Single Stake: A Single pole will be set 150’ from start / finish line. Rider must cross start line, make one turn around the single stake and cross back over start line.
Water Balloon Race:Riders will begin at a starting line, once start is signaled they will ride to opposite end of arena and stop at line. They will have to dismount, lead horse to water bucket, pick two water balloons out of bucket, return to line, mount at the line, and ride back across the starting line with there water balloons.
